I am a human. I live on a planet called Earth. I love sushi and dachshunds, along with cookies, root beer, and the Halo franchise. The Walking Dead is a favorite show of mine. I wave my geek flag proudly. I hate math with a passion. If you want to know how many oranges can fit inside the sun, you wouldn't know, because they would all burn up. There. Question solved.
Thanks so much for passing by, favoriting, or watching! It's all very much appreciated! I also like llama badges, so go right ahead and toss them to me. I'll toss one back!
Please do not watch me and expect a watchback in return. I don't subscribe to that, and I would prefer if you watch me based solely on the fact you enjoy my work. If you don't care for what I do, absolutely no harm done. We all have our own tastes. But I would rather someone hate what I do and not watch, than someone watch and not even care.
Tools of the Trade - Photoshop CS5 and a Wacom Intuos 4 tablet for my digital art, and usually a mechanical pencil and paper for my traditional art. Although I have come to use watercolors, some gouache, Faber Castell ink pens, Sharpie paint pens, a white gel pen, and more as well. Generally more sketch-type things are put up, however.
Policy on Gift Art - I more than welcome gift art, and thank you so much for even considering it (if you have)! It's honestly humbling, to think anyone would make anything for me. All I ask is if you're doing one of my characters, please respect them. Both creator and creations would be deeply grateful.
Just as a clarification, when I say respecting them, I mean I would rather not see them in lewd or otherwise vile concepts, you get my drift? But by all means, make them look crazy, shower them with ooze. Have fun with them. It's what they were made for (besides, I already do that to them, they don't mind).
If you have requested something and it is not in the owed art list or you want to see how things are rolling, feel free to note and check in with me!
Commissions - Closed. I have no Paypal at the moment, and I'd like to be able to do these in a timely matter; which is difficult at the moment.
I'd like commissions to be available in the future, however.
Trades - Feel free to ask, but know there's not a guarantee I'll always say yes. Not only because of life, but I also put a lot of heart, time, and work into my art. I'd like something around the same quality.
Requests - Sometimes closed, sometimes open. Keep an eye out for my journals, as I announce and open up requests solely through them. Otherwise, I'm closed.
Collaborations - Again, feel free to ask, but the same guidelines from the trade section applies. It also helps if we've had at least a few conversations.
Kiriban - I'll be doing one at around 15,000 pageviews. Keep a look out!
1. Finish L.A.
2. Give all my characters ref sheets.

|Q: What programs/tablet do you use? |
A: Photoshop CS5 and a Wacom Intuos 4 tablet. I'd really like to get Paint Tool Sai soon though.
Q: How long have you been drawing?
A: Like many other artists, pretty much since I could grasp and topple crayons. Although I only got really serious in the last couple years or so.
Q: Are you self-taught?
A: Well, yes, I've learned a lot of things from seeing how other people work and personal experimentation. But I've also taken classes that have helped a great deal as well. So I'd say it's a mix of the two.
Q: How long have you been drawing digitally?
A: Hummm... several years, I believe. It's been a while, for sure.
Q: What do you draw?
A: Humans! Humans everywhere. But I am partial to dragons, birds, canines, and dinosaurs. Creatures, really. I used to be big into dragons and horses when I was younger.
Q: What won't you draw?
A: Basically anything that warrants a warning; excessive violence, nudity, or just anything super vulgar or questionable. I don't mind some blood though, as you'll see when perusing my gallery. Demon-related things are iffy for me too, it depends.
Q: What do you like?
A: A lot of things! I love everything from manga and anime to Sherlock, to video games like Bioshock: Infinite and Halo. As for what I like artistically, my favorites are where you can find my taste. It's eclectic.
Q: Can I use your art for ect?
A: Unless I've specifically given you the art in question (in which case, you're the owner, do as you please), please don't use any of my art for anything without at least asking me. I probably wouldn't mind as long as you credited me, but again; please, please ask first. It's courteous, and I'd really appreciate it.
Q: Can I copy one of your works? I'll credit you!
A: This is something that, beyond perhaps attempting to learn something from the style in question, I adamantly disagree with; especially if you're attempting to understand anatomy or the like. It does nothing but make you learn mistakes.
So in short: if you are truly dead set on it, fine. I can't stop you. But if you have to copy one of my pieces, please credit.
Additionally, since we're on the topic; those who copy (without credit), steal, or otherwise attempt to claim ownership of any one of my drawings or characters will instantly be blacklisted and action will be taken. No exceptions. You will garner no support, no respect, and will lose any chance of art from me. Ever.
Q: Will you make me/do ect?
A: I only do requests when specifically asked for in one of my journals. Please don't beg excessively. It won't get you anywhere.
Q: What's your name, or what can I call you?
A: Feel free to call me Hay, Hayhay, Monkey, Koda, Kodai, Kody... whatever floats your boat! As long as it isn't something obviously mean, I'm good! I promise I don't bite!
